Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@-LEEn@ GOHmez, was born on the 22nd of July 1992. She is an American actress, singer and producer. Gomez's acting debut was on the children’s television series Barney & Friends (1902-2004). As a teenager she became famous for her role as Alex Russo on the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). Gomez is also part of the television show Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie 2009, Ramona and Beezus (2010) and Spring Breakers 2012, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). In 2019, she'll be appearing in The Dead Don't Die (2018). Gomez was also the voice of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania's film franchise from 2012-2022. Gomez was executive producer for Netflix's 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) as well as Undocumented (2018). Undocumented (2018) through July Moon Productions. It was certified platinum by RIAA and produced three top ten entries in the US: "Good for You", “Same Old Love", and "Hands to Myself". Rare (2020), her third studio album was her third straight number-one in the US. The lead track, "Lose You To Love Me", was the first single to be ranked number one across both the US and Canada. Revelacion the Spanish-language EP was released in 2021. She was nominated to the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. She has been awarded numerous accolades including the 2017 Billboard Woman of the year award. She also broke fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential people globally in 2020. Gomez is a social media star and is the most-followed musician and actress on Instagram.
