Kathrin Romany Beckinsale, born 26 July 1973.[1][2][3] Kathrin Romany Beckinsale is an English actress. Following a couple of small TV roles, her first film appearance was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) as a student at the University of Oxford. Beckinsale has appeared in British dramas like Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997), and The Golden Bowl ((2000). Beckinsale created her first film in the United States in late 1990s. After appearing in smaller-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale starred in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). They were followed by starring roles in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). All of these films have established her as a major character in Hollywood.Since acting as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been a household name for her work in action movies, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012) as well as Total Recall (2012). Her roles in dramas like Snow Angels (2007) or Nothing but the Truth (2008) and Everybody's Fine (2010) continue. She was praised for her performance in the first two films. The year 2016 brought high praise from critics. She was awarded the Critics' Choice Film Awards for the Best Actress in the comedy film for Love & Friendship. In action films, she returned together with Jolt (2021). Also, she starred in Jolt (2021), The Widow (1919) and Guilty Party (2021).
