Selleck plays a police commissioner who is part of a family of multigenerational of officers in the drama Blue Bloods that debuted on CBS in 2010.Selleck was eventually able to get his chance to appear on the big screen. He also was a part of the acclaimed comedy Three Men and a Baby featuring Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg. The comedy was the highest-grossing film.
