Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is an extremely popular American following her win on American Idol's debut season. This win did more than propel her into the limelight however, it also secured the singer a multi-album contract together with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. In the years since, she's released many studio albums, three of that reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly fell short of the top spot. She's among the most popular performers to emerge from American Idol. She was a bit flimsy as she found success with different musical themes and styles, often writing songs of her own. As a result of her distinctness and ability as a performer, she was praised by critics and won a few notable prizes. Most notably she has won the Grammy Award three times. Her music career is not the only thing she is involved in. She has also appeared in TV and movies. She also wrote the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with various charities.
